Privacy Policy
The short version: We collect only what we need to run DueDoo. We never sell your data. Ever. Your pile is yours and nobody else's. If you have questions, email us at privacy@duedoo.com.
1. Who We Are
DueDoo ("we," "us," or "our") is a life admin assistant service that helps you track, organize, and manage the tasks, deadlines, and responsibilities in your personal and professional life. We operate the website duedoo.com and the DueDoo web application at app.duedoo.com.
2. What Information We Collect
We collect information you give us directly and information that's automatically collected when you use our service.
Information you provide:
- Your name and email address when you sign up
- The tasks, deadlines, and life admin items you add to DueDoo (your "pile")
- Any documents or files you choose to upload
- Payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we never store your card details)
- Messages you send to our AI support assistant
Information collected automatically:
- Basic usage data (which features you use, how often you log in)
- Device type and browser (to make DueDoo work properly on your device)
- IP address (for security purposes only)
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information only to provide and improve DueDoo. Specifically:
- To run the DueDoo service and send you reminders and notifications
- To organize your pile into life areas and generate your weekly Life Summary
- To process your subscription payment
- To respond to your support questions
- To improve DueDoo based on how people use it
- To send you important updates about your account or our service
We do not use your information for advertising. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not share your information with advertisers.
4. We Never Sell Your Data
This is simple and absolute: we never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for any reason. Your pile is private. Your life admin is yours. That's the whole point of DueDoo.
5. How We Share Information
We share your information only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers: Companies that help us operate DueDoo (hosting, payment processing, email delivery). They can only use your data to provide services to us, not for their own purposes.
- Legal requirements: If we're required to by law or to protect the safety of our users or the public.
- Business transfers: If DueDoo is acquired or merged, your data would transfer to the new owner subject to this same privacy policy.
6. Data Security
We take security seriously. Your data is encrypted in transit using TLS and encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption — the same standard used by banks. We regularly review and update our security practices. That said, no system is perfectly secure. If you ever notice anything suspicious about your account, contact us immediately at security@duedoo.com.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct any information that's inaccurate
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Opt out of any marketing emails at any time
To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@duedoo.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
8. Data Retention
We keep your data as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we're legally required to keep it longer (such as billing records, which we keep for 7 years as required by tax law).
9. Cookies
We use only essential cookies — the minimum needed to keep you logged in and make DueDoo work. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies that follow you around the internet.
10. Children's Privacy
DueDoo is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at privacy@duedoo.com and we'll delete it promptly.
11. Changes to This Policy
If we make significant changes to this privacy policy, we'll notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of DueDoo after that point means you agree to the updated policy.
